Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to cut the fruit before juicing it?+
Rarely: the 102 mm chute takes most whole fruits, such as a medium apple. Only cut those that don't fit, and remove hard stones (peach, apricot, mango) and thick skins (citrus fruit, pineapple).
What is the R position on the selector for?+
R reverses the screw's direction of rotation. If fibres block the extraction, switch to R for a few seconds to clear them, then back to I. Always go through O (off) in between.
What's the difference with a centrifugal juicer?+
A centrifugal juicer grates the fruit at high speed, and the juice heats up and oxidises. Here, the screw turns slowly and presses the fruit cold: the juice keeps more of its vitamins and taste, and the yield is higher, with pulp that comes out dry.
How do I clean the juicer?+
Unplug the appliance, then take apart the filter and the parts of the head: they rinse under clean water in seconds, ideally right after use, before the pulp dries. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth, and never immerse it in water.
What's in the box?+
The juicer, its pusher, a jug for the juice and a container for the pulp.
