Frequently Asked Questions
Which pods can I use with this machine?+
It works with soft paper pods of the Senseo® type, sold in supermarkets. It does not take hard capsules (Nespresso® or Dolce Gusto® type), nor loose ground coffee.
What's the difference between the single and the double filter?+
The single filter takes one pod, for one cup. The double filter takes two, placed one on top of the other, for two cups served at the same time or one stronger large cup. Both filters are stainless steel and supplied with the machine.
What coffee volumes can the machine make?+
Four, chosen with one touch on the display: in single mode, a 60 ml or 120 ml cup; in double mode, 120 ml or 240 ml in total. Use the single filter for single mode and the double filter for double mode.
How long does it take to get a coffee?+
Under 45 seconds. The machine heats the water on demand with its 1,350 W, and the coffee is served at 72 °C minimum.
How do I fill the water tank?+
The 700 ml tank lifts off the back of the machine: fill it with cold tap water, without going over the maximum mark, then put it firmly back in place. Its transparent side lets you keep an eye on the level.
How do I clean the machine?+
Unplug it and let it cool down. The drip tray, the tank and the stainless steel filters come out and rinse in warm soapy water; throw away the used pod after each coffee. Wipe the body of the machine with a damp cloth, and never immerse it in water.
Does this machine make espresso?+
No. Like all soft pod machines, it brews at low pressure, between 1.5 and 2 bar: it makes a long, mild coffee topped with a light froth. An espresso needs a much higher pressure, around 15 to 19 bar.
