My new air fryer gives off a smell and a little smoke, is this normal?+
Yes. During first use, a slight smell or a small amount of smoke may be given off: this is the burning-off of manufacturing residues. This is normal and disappears quickly.
Can I place my air fryer under a wall cabinet or a shelf?+
No. Leave at least ten centimetres of free space on all sides for air circulation, and never place the air fryer under a cabinet, blind or curtain: risk of overheating and fire. Do not cover it. Place it on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
How do I start the same cooking programme in both baskets?+
Use the copy function. If no menu is selected, press the copy icon: both baskets follow the default menu. If a menu has already been chosen in one basket, pressing the copy icon duplicates that programme in the other basket. If the two baskets have different menus, copying replaces the programme in the right-hand basket with that of the left-hand basket.
How can I make both baskets finish at the same time?+
Use the sync function. After selecting the menu for basket 1 and then for basket 2, turn on sync: the basket with the shorter cooking time displays “HOLD” and waits, so that both baskets finish together.
My air fryer beeps five times during cooking, what is happening?+
This is the halfway-cooking signal: at the midpoint of the set time, the corresponding icon lights up, the appliance beeps five times and displays “Turn Food” to prompt you to turn the food over. This function accompanies the bacon, steak, fries and chicken drumstick programmes; it can be turned on or cancelled by pressing the shake icon.
The interior light switches off by itself, is this a fault?+
No. The light is there to let you watch the food cooking through the window: after being switched on manually, it automatically turns off after one minute if it has not been turned off before then. Simply press the light icon again.
How far can I fill the basket, especially for bread?+
Never exceed the MAX mark on the basket. When baking bread, the height of the dough must not exceed this mark, or it may touch the heating element and catch fire. Empty the basket after each use: excess oil drains into it when cooking fatty foods.
Are the baskets and trays dishwasher-safe?+
Yes, the basket and tray can be washed in the dishwasher. They can also be cleaned with a sponge and hot soapy water, without abrasive products or scouring pads. Never immerse the air fryer or its plug in water: wipe the outside with a damp cloth and dry all parts before storing.
