Frequently Asked Questions
My blender gives off an unusual smell the first time I use it, should I be concerned?+
No, this is a normal occurrence the first few times the motor is started. This smell disappears on its own after a few uses. There is nothing specific you need to do.
How long can I run the blender continuously?+
Continuous operation must not exceed 3 minutes. Then allow a rest period of at least 10 minutes between two cycles and let the appliance return to room temperature. To stop the blender while it is running, simply turn the knob back to position 0.
How do I know if the jug is correctly fitted on the appliance?+
First make sure the control knob is at position 0. Then place the jug on the motor base and turn it clockwise: a click confirms it is properly locked. Never place the blade unit on the motor without the jug being correctly fitted.
How should I prepare fruit and vegetables before blending them?+
Peel or deseed them, then cut them into small pieces about 15 mm on a side. Then add a little drinking water or another liquid to make blending easier, without exceeding the maximum level marked on the jug.
How much meat can I mince with the mincer bowl?+
Use a maximum of 300 g of deveined meat, cut into cubes about 30 mm on a side. For carrots, potatoes or cucumbers, cut into pieces of about 15 mm instead. Place the ingredients in the mincer bowl fitted with the S-shaped blade unit and check that the lid is properly closed and secured.
Can I blend a hot preparation in this blender?+
Be very careful with hot liquids: they can be ejected from the appliance due to sudden boiling. Never pour boiling water into the jug and do not run the appliance empty.
Which parts can I put in the dishwasher?+
The measuring cup, the blending jug and its lid, the mincer bowl and its lid, the S-shaped blade unit and the grinder bowl can go in the dishwasher. However, the main unit and the mincer bowl's gear housing must never be rinsed, soaked or washed in the dishwasher. Simply wipe the outside of the base with a damp cloth. If in doubt about the temperature, hand-washing is preferable.
How do I easily clean the jug after blending?+
Unplug the appliance, then clean it immediately after use: food sticks once it dries. Pour a little warm soapy water into the jug, turn the knob to position P for a few seconds, then empty it out. For the blades, brush them with hot soapy water and rinse without touching them directly, as they are very sharp.
